Brenda Coleman
Silver jewellery and glass

Brenda joined the NSCG in 2006. Although coming from a medical and science background, Brenda has always loved making decorative objects.
Her love affairs with arts and crafts started with quilting and embroidery and progressed through pottery, painting and fabric manipulation until she discovered glass and precious metals.

Over the past 15 years, Brenda has concentrated on making precious metal (silver and gold) jewellery and glass beads. She particularly enjoys combining glass, precious and semiprecious gem stones, and found objects, with precious metals. Her main source of inspiration is the natural world (flora and fauna), but forms created by man also fire her imagination.
Brenda has taught glass bead making and basic jewellery construction techniques at various Sydney venues. Her work is also exhibited at Craft NSW gallery in Millers Point, Sydney.
