June Higgs
Silverwork
June joined the NSCG in 1968, when she was already a member of the Society of Arts & Crafts of NSW.
Before starting her work in silver, June has tried millinery, French flowers, pottery and lapidary. She enjoys designing and developing Australian designs and motifs.
Her training in silverwork started at Chatswood Evening College followed by lessons from Laurel Gorn and Wally van Heckeren.
Originally trained as a physiotherapist, June enjoys mixing and meeting with other craft people.
