Wendy Cartwright
Weaving
Wendy began weaving in 1970 when she completed a 1one-year hand weaving course at East Sydney Technical College. In 1977 she completed three years of study at Strathfield School of Textiles, specialising in Craft Textiles.
Since then, she has attended numerous workshops and courses in Australia and the United States. Wendy has taught spinning and weaving at Waverley Woollahra Arts Centre for 10 years.
She has been a member of the NSCG since 1989.
Wendy’s main interest is weaving fabric for clothing, although she enjoys all facets of weaving.
